How do we finance?

Even though we use standardized documentation, a mezzanine loan is never a standard product. Each mezzanine loan is tailored to the transaction, so size, maturity (from 2 to 7 years), possibility of early repayment and fee structure may vary per transaction.

Partner

After graduating his MSc in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Groningen (RUG), Lars worked for almost 10 years as a banker at ABN Amro Bank and NIBC. Thereafter he founded Main Capital Partners in 1997.

In 20 years Main has evolved from a corporate finance boutique to a specialized investor and financier with a focus on the software and ICT sector in Benelux and Germany. With Pride Capital Partners, Lars continues to build his ambition to, together with the Dutch and German team, become one of the most important semi-strategic private debt providers in the ICT market in North West Europe.

Lars is married, lives in Amsterdam and has 3 grown up children.

Partner

Floris (1978) is Partner at Pride Capital Partners. Since 2007 he has been working in various functions at Main Capital Partners. His primary task is to advise entrepreneurs and management teams in strategic financial matters such as acquisitions, funding and investments. He is involved with analyzing company and market information, structuring financial models and putting together investment memoranda and proposals.

Floris holds a Master in Finance from the University of Groningen (RUG). Floris lives in Amsterdam.

Senior Investment Manager

Laurens (1984) is Senior Investment Manager at Pride Capital Partners. In 2011 Laurens started at the Corporate Finance division of Main Capital Partners. There he gained broad experience and was involved in multiple M&A transactions and debt advisory deals.
Currently Laurens focuses on the mezzanine business of Pride Capital Partners. His primary tasks are management of portfolio companies, active sourcing of mezzanine prospects, assisting in mezzanine financing processes and deal execution.

Laurens holds an MSc Financial Management (Business Administration) from the Free University Amsterdam. He lives in Haarlem.

Philipp has been active as a member of the German Pride Capital Partners Mezzanine team since July 2017. He is responsible for: generating potential deal flow in Germany, actively bringing in German mezzanine prospects, supporting in the supervision of mezzanine financing processes and providing analysis and overview of financial proposals. Next to that, he is operationally heading our Cologne office.

Before joining Pride Capital Partners Philipp worked as a structured finance advisor at Deloitte. Philipp holds a master degree in Financial Economics from Maastricht University, with a specialization in Banking. During his bachelor phase (Economics at the University of Bonn) he was an intern at financial audit company Ebner Stolz. Philipp lives in Cologne.

Joris (1991) has been active as a member of the Pride Capital Partners team since November 2015. He is responsible for: generating potential deal flow, actively bringing in mezzanine prospects, supporting in the supervision of mezzanine financing processes and providing analysis and overview of financial proposals.

Previously, Joris has gained experience at mezzanine provider Beechbrook Capital in London. Joris has a master degree in Economics & Business Economy from Erasmus University Rotterdam, witch specialisation Financial Economics. During the bachelor phase he was intern at private equity company Karmijn Kapitaal. Joris lives in Kamerik.

Bas (1991) started in December 2017 as analyst for Pride Capital Partners. He is responsible for: generating potential deal flow, actively bringing in mezzanine prospects, supporting in the supervision of mezzanine financing processes and providing analysis and overview of financial proposals. In addition, Bas is as Manager Investor Relations responsible for the contact with our funders.

Previously, Bas has gained experience at Royal Schiphol Group. Bas has a master degree in Economics & Business Economy from Erasmus University Rotterdam, with specialization Financial Economics. Bas lives in Amsterdam.

Marco has been working for the German Pride Capital Partners Mezzanine team since November 2018. He is responsible for the generation of deal flow in Germany, actively bringing in German mezzanine prospects as well as the long-term support of existing portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Pride Capital Partners, Marco worked as a junior consultant in a medium-sized corporate finance consulting company in various debt advisory and M&A projects. He holds a Bachelor degree in Economics and a Master degree in Accounting & Finance. Marco lives in Bonn.

Prior to joining Pride Capital Partners, Max worked as an analyst for a consulting company in the private equity and private debt space. He holds a bachelor degree and a master degree in business administration with a specialization in finance from the University of Cologne. During his studies he took internships with private equity companies in Zurich, Baar and Munich. Max lives in Cologne.

Before joining Pride Capital Partners, Anthony successfully completed internships with 3D Investors and Amazon. Anthony holds a bachelor and master degree in Business Engineering with a specialization in Finance from the University of Ghent, as well as a master in Business Analytics from ESADE Business School. Anthony lives in Ghent and Amsterdam.

Prior to joining Pride Capital Partners, Fabian successfully completed an internship with MLP and worked as a working student at Vistra in the Alternative Investments department in Cologne. He holds a bachelor degree in economics and a master degree in management and marketing. Fabian lives in Leverkusen.

Nick started in april 2020 for Pride Capital Partners. He is involved in sourcing new mezzanine prospects, financing trajectories and supporting portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Pride Capital Partners, Nick completed internships at the Dutch Central Bank, the strategy department of Accenture and private equity firm Vortex Capital Partners. He completed his bachelors in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Univerisity College Groningen, followed by a master in Quantitative Risk Management at the VU in Amsterdam. Nick lives in Amsterdam.

Sylvia started in March 2018 as office manager at Pride Capital Partners. She is responsible for ensuring that all activities in the office run smoothly. In addition to managing the agenda of Lars van ‘t Hoenderdaal she is also responsible for making travel arrangements, all kinds of facility tasks, recruitment and organizing events such as the Private Debt Event.
